All Quiet

We've had a pretty quiet afternoon here. Mom ended up sitting in the rocker for almost an hour and it wore her slap out.  She woke up for lunch and perked up and smiled to see some new flowers (and one edible arrangement, yum!) that were brought in.  In fact, due to the excellent effects of the pain medication, we do a roll call of flower arrangements every four to six hours.  She'll completely forget who sent them, and I'll pick them all up one by one to show her and read her cards every time she wakes up from a nap.  She's tickled pink each time she hears who each vase or card is from--so far there are a few bouquets she has "received" up to five times, and she's just as happy every time (she gave me permission to tell y'all that).

  1. Anne, so good to hear you are progressing nicely. (I'm a novice at posting a blog comment. Don't think my first attempt worked. Sorry if I am repeating myself.) Anne it sounds like you've got some great company there. Mary Claire, it's great to meet you! Thanks for blogging. Anne,I've been thinking about you each and every day. Soo good to see you in New Orleans. Continue to do well and keep soaking up lots of love and attention. Love...Mary

Mary Claire, thank you for doing this blog to keep us all informed as I have been thinking of your mom constantly. 4. Anne, I am so happy that you are doing so well after surgery! Sounds like you have a wonderful support group there with you. Know it is so special having both girls there now. Mary Claire, thanks so much for creating this blog - what a great way for us to keep up with your mom's progress. I have been thinking about her so much. Anne, remember you have a BIG group of DDD sisters cheering you on (even though we did get kicked out of the hospitality room in NOLA for being a little too loud at midnight!) But boy - didn't we all have fun!!! Love, Valerie
